But we are used to it! Though Convertek is new, our Founder  M. S. Kharadkar has always been at the forefront of recognizing and embracing future trends and technologies.  

In 1986, he co-founded Aspha Board Pvt. Ltd., manufacturing Specialty grades of Industrial Papers such as Electrical Grade Insulation Papers (Presspahn), Abrasive base papers, Outer Grade Paper for filters etc. At the time these were mainly getting imported in India from European countries like Germany & Sweden. He developed these industrial grade papers indigenously & without any collaboration or tie up as import substitutes. 

In 2010, he ventured into contract converting and finishing houses for large scale Indian Paper Mills. He introduced a western concept to Indian Paper mills “near the market & just in time”.  He studied this concept in USA  where it is prevalent  that  Paper Mills who are generally in forests , away from urban area / cities , bring their  semi finished product in reel form  to a converting & finishing house   who have  units in or near cities , convert them as per the requirement of the customer &  deliver them in 24 to 48 hrs thus saving inventory cost  of the customer.

Again, recognizing an evolution and opportunity in the food packaging industry, along with Asitosh Kharadkar, he co-founded Convertek Papers to introduce an innovative product "econ" which will be a milestone in food packaging.
